(Friday, Saturday, closed sunday, Monday) I guess i should not be upset, when i had an oil change "scheduled", Which took 5 hours to do maybe i should have known not to take it back to them.
In this video i'll show you how to change the oil in a (OBH) 7 speed dsg gearbox. This is recommended every 40000 miles and the filter doesn't require replac
Here are some tips and observations: This is one of the easiest oil changes I've ever done. The main reason is the design of the oil pan's plastic drain plug. Manual states every 60,000 km for the DSG fluid/filter change - no mention of time. My car is coming close to 3 years old with only ~30,000 km of everyday driving. Would you all recommend a change out or be good until the 60,000km? Thanks
The 7-speed dsg box is sealed for life, it's only the 6-speed that requires an oil and filter change at 40K intervals. Sounds like you've been caught, or whoever billed you at the garage had no contact with the workshop. You need to go back and tell them. The 6-speed clutches run in oil, whereas the 7-speed type are "dry".
